What Is The PRO

THE PRO is a professional golf tour built exclusively for former professional athletes. It is not celebrity golf, exhibitions, or open-entry competition.

Access is earned. Fields are curated. Competition comes first.

Athletes from the world’s top professional leagues step into a new challenge on the golf course — where reputations reset and performance decides everything.

For most professional athletes, retirement doesn’t end the competitive drive — it ends the structure. The schedule stops. The pressure fades. But the desire to compete remains.

THE PRO was created to give elite athletes a place to go after their first league ends. A new arena where preparation still matters, pressure still exists, and winning still means something.

This tour exists because the game doesn’t end when the league does.

Each PRO tournament features an invited field of approximately 80 competitors competing in a three-round professional format.

Events use the Stableford scoring system to reward aggressive, consistent play. After two rounds, the top 60 advance to the final round, while remaining competitors compete in a one-day team shootout with guaranteed payouts.

Each event carries a $500,000 purse, contributes to a season-long points race, and delivers a true tour environment built on pressure, performance, and opportunity.

The PRO is an invitation-only tour reserved for former professional athletes who meet strict eligibility standards.

To be considered, athletes must have:

  • A minimum of two years of professional playing experience

  • A verified single-digit golf handicap

  • A demonstrated commitment to preparation, professionalism, and competition

Eligible athletes may submit their information through the Player Interest Form to be considered for future events. Submitting interest does not guarantee an invitation.

The PRO maintains a growing database of eligible former professional athletes. Tournament fields are curated through a structured rotation system designed to balance opportunity and performance.

Top finishers earn priority placement in future events, while new competitors are rotated in throughout the season to create multiple opportunities to compete — without compromising competitive integrity.

Every invitation is intentional. Every roster spot is earned.

The PRO season builds toward a definitive finish. After the first six tournaments, the top 8 athletes from each sport – MLB, NBA, NFL, and NHL – along with the next 8 highest overall point-earners in the season-long standings advance to The PRO Semi-Finals to compete in a field of 40.

From there, the field is narrowed once more.

The PRO Championship features the top 30 from the semi-finals, who battle head-to-head to crown the season’s ultimate champion. Every point, every round, and every finish throughout the season leads to this moment.

This is where consistency is rewarded — and champions are made.

The PRO Cup brings a different kind of pressure.

Inspired by Ryder Cup–style competition, The PRO Cup is a team-based event where elite athletes go head-to-head, competing not just for individual results — but for pride, momentum, and team supremacy.

Teams are formed from top competitors across the tour and compete in a head-to-head format designed to test strategy, chemistry, and clutch performance.

Individual accolades matter all season — but at The PRO Cup, it comes down to one question:

Who’s the best TEAM in the league?
